Requirements!
Lifeguard Training and Standard First Aid CPR for the Professional Rescuer, or American Heart Association Course Level C.

|
Swimming Pool Operators Permit
(for management positions including, Head Lifeguard)
|
|
|
|
|
Field Supervisor
|
Responsible for overseeing the operations
and personnel of approximately 5 swimming pool facilities within a
specific geographic area. Duties include maintaining quality
relationships with the resident manager or property manager of each
facility, scheduling and training of swimming pool staff, and weekly
inspection of each facility. The Supervisor is responsible for the
overall management of each pool including passing Health Inspections,
ensuring the use of safe life guarding skills and equipment,
maintaining all County requirements and monitoring proper chemical
levels. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced
environment. Candidate must be a team player.

Lifeguard Instructors
|
Jazzie Pools L.L.C.- is looking for full and
part time American Red Gross Lifeguard instructors. Applicants must
have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification.
The American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Instructor certification is
preferred. We will train the right person, if necessary, in the
Lifeguard Training Instructor Certification. Positions open
immediately.

Pool Service Technicians
|
This position is responsible for
maintenance, repair and service residential and/or commercial swimming
pools. Experience necessary. Training will be provided for the right
applicant. Self-starter, who can think on there feet, has to
have that go that extra mile attitude. Required applicant to be
21 years old and willing to obtain a Commercial Driver License.
Should have good communication skills and written skills. Can
start as a general helper.

Construction
|
All Aspects from sales to service
|
Responsible for all aspects of construction
from begin to end. The applicant should be able to repair
and service commercial and residential swimming pools in the Northern
Virginia Area. Duties include coordinating and scheduling of
equipment, labor and materials for all types of jobs, ensuring job
completion dates are met and supervising laborers on site. Experience
in swimming pool construction and maintenance a plus.

Accountant Assistant
|
This is a full-time position and we have openings
|
Bookkeeping, account receivable, accounts payable and much more.
You would be working under a CPA that has over twenty years of
business experience. Light typing, filing and other office duties
as may be applicable.
|
Full-time/part-time schedules are available.
The candidate must possess a pleasant phone manner and enjoy a fast
paced environment. Light typing and filing are also required.
Retired people welcome, those that just want to earn some extra money,
has to want o deal with people young and old. We are seeking a
self-starter with an eagerness to learn. Basic computer knowledge is
required.

Chain of Command
|
The office is the command center which
everyone from the newest lifeguards to those that are field techs are
welcome. The owner's are in there to answer questions and or solve
problems. Managers/supervisors bring concerns and question to
management, & the service needs either from the property managers
or the lifeguard staff. All customers or staff members should
understand that Jazzie has an open door policy; we want you to be
heard and are there to listen to you.

Swimming Lessons
|
Group Lessons:
|
All pool staf employees are expected to be available to provide group lesson instruction
Group lessons are taught are taught in 3 two-week sessions
|
Private Lessons:
|
Must be conducted during employees OFF-Duty hours. Time of instruction
must be approved by pool manager.
|
|
|
|
|
Substitute
|
Policy Employee agrees NOT to have substitutes except for emergency
reasons and for his/her per-approved vacation
|
Substitutes must be either Jazzie Pools
employee or, if none are available, be certified by the pool manager
as acceptable for the given situation.
|
|
|
|
|
Vacation Policy
|
Five consecutive days, non paid vacation per
season. If more than five days are required by an employee, this must
be approved by Jazzie Pools, before employee is hired. It is the
responsibility of the employee to provide substitute coverage for
his/her vacation.
|
|
|
|
|
Interviews
|
All Local Employees need to provide Jazzie Pools with the following items
when they come in to interview, or you can e-mail them to us before coming in.
|

A picture that you like. To be used for the newsletter of the property/s you will
work at if hired. (You may e-mail it).

Your Resume. for us to review, References to previous jobs and experience, may be
used for the newsletter of the property/s you will work at if hired. (You may e-mail it).

VA-5 tax form. downloaded from the Internet (VA.gov)- must be signed.
-
W-4 tax form (downloaded IRS.gov) - must be signed.
-
I-9 form (downloaded-IRS.gov) with 2 Id’s, such as permanent drivers license, or
permit, and a student card.

Questions will be asked of you, so you must have an idea of what
your job description should be, Be prepared!.

Copies of your certifications.

Items that should taken with you from your interviews:
|

Calendars. Calendars are used to set a schedule through the summer months,
so tell Jazzie your availability and leave them at the interview. Include
scheduled vacations. You can create your calendars using MS Word or another
processing program. Be sure to bring them with you.
They must include your name, phone/cell phone, and e-mail address.

Handbook. The company handbook can be downloaded from our site.

Uniforms. All hired guards need their uniforms, you can purchase via check or
credit card, ($65 women / $55) men if purchased from Jazzie.

Document about where to take pool operators test and list of classes.

International Employees
|
