Remove, clean, fold and store cover if necessary.
2.
Drain and thoroughly rinse pool interior including fittings and light niches. Hydrostatic relief valve will be checked to assure free passage of ground water.
3.
Thoroughly prepare the existing surface to properly receive the plaster coating. This shall include saving the old plaster immediately below the waterline tile band, chipping old plaster back approximately 1.5 inches below tile, and chipping old plaster from around all fittings and light niches. This is done so that new plaster can be toweled in to tile and fittings without losing its thickness.

All unbounded plaster should be removed during chipping phase. A thorough inspection will be made at completion of draining and cleaning to determine the extent of unbounded plaster. Unbounded plaster usually shows up as cracks or a hollow sound when
tapped on. The re-plastering crew will cut around and chip out unbounded plaster up to a total of fifty (50) square feet as part of this contract. Any removal of unbounded plaster- In excess of 50 square feet will be billable on a time-and-material basis.
5.
Thoroughly inspect all fittings, hydrostatic relief valve, underwater lights, tiles and anchors. Any deficiencies will be brought to the attention of Owner. It is important to have interior repairs done
and quickly as possible after pool has been emptied.

Racing Lanes: Chip out existing racing lane tile. Thoroughly clean up tile debris and etch the exposed formerly tiled surfaces. Lanes will then be purged with white cement so that floor of pool is level. Install new tiled racing lanes to the number and dimensions of existing lanes.
Jazzie does not believe that cutting and chipping around existing lanes is desirable. This creates an elevation difference between old lanes and new plaster and it is in this area that plaster deterioration normally begins.
7.
Racing Targets: Chip off existing tiled racing targets. Targets will be purged over in similar fashion as the lanes and for the same reasons. Install new tile targets to same dimension and configuration as existing targets. Tile will be non-skid black tile.

Expansion Joint at Strip expansion joint material and clean out expansion joints. Chip off expansion joint tile. Purge up tile area in similar fashion as the targets and lanes. Install new expansion Joint tile consisting of 4' white tile or two revs of 21 white tiles on each side of joint. Stuff joint, prime, tape and caulk expansion joints with material suitable for underwater applications. Color of caulk will be white unless otherwise noted.
9.
Demarcation Liniest Chip of existing tiled demarcation lines and purge areas for it reasons as lanes and targets. Install 40 or
6" black tiled demarcation line to include wells and floor as designated areas. If lines do not exist and are required by county codes, demarcation lines will be installed.

The entire surface of the pool shall be etched with muratic acid to remove oils, dirt, algae and other debris. This also makes the surface very rough and bondable for the new plaster. Wastewater will be neutralized prior to discharge from the pool. Wastewater will be discharged in such a form as to be in compliance with regulated environmental standards.
11.
Upon completion of acid wash, thoroughly flush all surfaces with fresh water. All fittings, skimmers and under-water light niches will be thoroughly flushed with fresh water.
Jazzie Pools will not plaster a pool until the existing surface is 100% ready for new plaster.

Apply a slush coat of ACRYL-60, an acrylic bonding-agent, and white cement to the surface just prior to applying
plaster. Optional Services.

Apply two successive coats of plaster consisting of two parts Georgia Marble Pool-Mix to one part Portland, Type I or IA, white cement conforming to Federal Spec. SS-C-192g. Pool-Mix is a white crystalline ground marble ideally blended for swimming pool plaster.

Plaster will be thoroughly mixed and will be applied approximately 318 Inch thick. The plaster will be hand toweled smooth by a crew equipped with specially designed tools and equipment. While
Jazzie Pools performs all prep work and follow up work itself.
Pool plastering is an art. Jazzie Pool is well known

After plastering is done, the pool will be filled immediately with the OWNER'S water so that plaster can cure underwater. Once the pool has started filling, DO NOT TURN WATER OFF UNTIL THE WATER LEVEL IS HALF WAY UP ON THE TILE BAND. If you turn the water off too soon, there may be a line or stain in the new plaster at that point. Ensuring that the pool is filled and that the water is turned off after it gets to the correct level is the OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITY. An appropriate amount of Scale Inhibitor will be added to fill water.
16.
All construction debris will be removed from the premises. Deck, copingstones, and grass area will be thoroughly cleaned of any plaster spillage.

When pool is full, Jazzie Pools will start filter system. This proposal does not include de-winterizing of filter system unless specifically noted. This proposal does not include the turning on of fresh water system (i.e. Meter) unless specifically noted. Appropriate chemicals will be added to water to ensure that white plaster is cured correctly. OWNER MUST BRUSH THE POOL DAILY FOR A WEEK. Owner must also test water and add appropriate chemicals for pH control. Owner must also backwash filter system at proper times to assure proper filtration of plaster dust. Owner must also vacuum pool at appropriate times. Plaster maintenance instructions will be delivered to Owners' agent at the time of plastering. Normally it is the lifeguard staff that can perform these maintenance tasks prior to pool opening.
